Library Plugin

This plugin is designed to track library items, such as books and equipment.

Requirements

glFusion v1.1.6 or newer

Installation

This plugin uses the glFusion automated plugin installer. Simply upload the distribtuion using the glFusion plugin installer located in the Plugin Administration page.

The plugin may be installed manually, if necessary.

Upgrading

The upgrade process is identical to the installation process, simply upload the distribution from the Plugin Administration page.

Features

Track individual items in a database table. Use categories to separate different types of items.
Items may be checked out to individual site members. Items are checked in when returned.
Members may sign up for a waiting list when a desired item is checked out. An email is sent to the member when the item becomes available. The item may be placed “on hold” for a configurable number of days after checkin when it is on a waiting list.

Administration

Configuration Options

Configuration Options are set by the Library section in the site Configuration area. There is no config.php required unless you wish to override any other settings.

Option	Description
Default Days On Hold	Enter the default number of days that an item will be “on hold” after it is checked in to give the next member on its waiting list a chance to check it out. If the waitlisted user has not checked out the item within this period, they are removed from the waiting list and the next user (if any) is notified.
Maximum Checkout Days	Enter the maximum number of days for which an item may be checked out. This will be the default, and can be overridden, when new items are added to the catalog.
Items to show per page	Enter the maximum number of items to show per page in the catalog.
Enable Comments?	Select whether comments are enabled globally. Comments can still be disabled or closed for each item. Selecting “No” here disables comments completely.
Enable Ratings?	Select whether to enable item ratings.
Enable Left Blocks? Enable Right Blocks?	Select whether the site's left and/or right blocks will be displayed with the item catalog.
Max number of item images	Enter the maximum number of images that can be associated with a single item.
Max item image size	Enter the maximum file size for uploaded images.
Max Thumbnail Dimension (px)	Enter the maximum width or height for thumbnails. The thumbnails will be created so the largest dimension is less than or equal to this size, preserving the aspect ratio.

Max Image Width (px)
Max Image Height (px)|Enter the maximum width and height for images. Uploaded images will be resized to fit within these dimensions, preserving the aspect ratio.|
